"Of Doom And Death"
"Savage Circus is ready to return to the scene with a crack of thunder. The long awaited new album "Of Doom And Death" shows all trademarks of "Dreamland Manor". Progressive and powerful songwriting combined with elaborate arrangements, tons of melodies and harmonies, raging guitars rounded up with the trademark vocals towering on the music. From speed monsters such as the title track "Of Doom And Death" to the majestic "Ballad Of Susan" Savage Circus created an album with all the varieties one would expect and beyond.
Savage Circus are finally back with a thunderclap and with their long awaited 2nd studioalbum and ready to set the next milestone in the metaluniverse!"
We hope, you like the new stuff. Although it's "just" a pre-production, the song "The Ordeal" already reflects the new album pretty well. Since things are really rolling in the SC camp, we are also in the process of writing lyrics. If any of you have some great ideas for SC relevant themes that you would like to see being transformed into lyrics, feel free to post all your suggestions in the guestbook or simply forward them to Harald (Webmaster). At the moment we are working on the vocals for song #2. Working title is "Of Doom And Death". The lyrics are about Roland, the gunslinger (a figure from Stephen King's Dark Tower). Yes, we know that Demons&Wizards made a whole album about that stuff, but they are not the only ones who read the books and liked the story big time, haha. Check our page for more news on this one. We think after this hell of a wait we owe you guys more than one song!

"The Ordeal" - mp3 teaser online!!!
Surprising update:
Some days ago some great news arrived from Emil: "The vocals for the first song are recorded now" and he added some pics from the recording that can be found in the photosection. So the pre-production of the follow up the the great debut album has started! Today Piet sent me a teaser of the first song ("The Ordeal") like the band did for their first release. So enjoy the first demo-sounds from the forthcoming album and check back this page very soon for more infos!
Hi to all the good folks (who still click on the SC site after 5 million years without any sign of life from anybody in the band)!!!
It’s been a long time... and if you say too long, you are damned right! Well, there is not really one overall reason for this absence; it’s more or less a combination of smaller and bigger things in the life of the individual band members. But there’s been one thing for sure, that struck all of us at the same time: the separation from Thomen. This hit us right in the middle of the first songwriting process for the follow up album and – as you may imagine – was not really a boost to our creativity. This had to be “digested” for a while…
While “digesting” in Umea, Sweden a lot of things did happen. Jens and Emilio got involved in the annual House Of Metal Festival (where SC played in 2007). This is quite a lot of stuff to take care for and indeed is time consuming. Yet another quite time consuming activity can be reported from Jens: he built a house! And nevertheless Emilio has encountered the maybe by far most time consuming thing in the world: the man got married! Congratulations and welcome to the club!
Hi folks! It's been quite a while... but we're still alive and still working on the DM follow-up. Things are mainly slow, because I had to take a child-sabbath break. My 2 1/2 year old daughter takes a lot of time and energy... so SC basicly is paused until she is ready to go to kindergarten in September. I truly enjoyed this time, even though I had to face the reality, that songwriting and a small child are not going together at all (ha ha). In September I will need some time for my other band Iron Savior (Progpower USA) but will already start to finish up the songwriting. It's only 2 songs missing! Please understand, that we rather take our time and make you wait instead of delivering crap songs.

A short news in addition to Emils last posting: you are now finally able to also buy the official Savage Circus Tourshirt "The Circus Is Coming To Town..." at the Dockyard1 Webshop!
Be sure to get one of the few shirts left! Available sizes: XL & L. The shirt is in high quality (Heavy Weight Cotton) and shows the great red bandlogo on the front and the tourdates from the tour in 2007 on the back!

SAVAGE CIRCUS LINE UP COMPLETED AGAIN

Dear Friends,
after all it’s time for some good news again. SAVAGE CIRCUS is happy to present our new official drummer, Mr. MIKE TERRANA. Known from great bands like AXEL RUDI PELL, RAGE, INGWIE J. MALMSTEEN and MASTERPLAN not only to the metal community, MIKE is a versatile artist with a very unique style of his own. Exactly this style along with his great character makes the MIGHTY TROLL a perfect match. MIKE, welcome aboard!
But that’s not all! After being our unofficial bass guitarist for over a year it is more than due to make YENZ LEONHARDT an official member too. This has been in our heads for a long time, but being lazy bastards we never came up with an announcement. YENZ is known from playing with or in bands like LACRIMOSA, KINGDOME COME, STORMWARRIOR and IRON SAVIOR. Needless to say that YENZ is a great person. YENZ, welcome aboard officially!
Now with the completion of the CIRCUS we are ready for action again. Work on the new record runs at full throttle and release is scheduled for early 2008 followed by various live performances.
All of us are totally happy about this great line up, which already brings so much energy to the band.
